You see, what happened is that a goat herder noticed his animals were always much more energetic after eating berries from a certain tree. He tried using the berries himself and quickly discovered how to make coffee.

Today, coffee has become one of the most popular drinks out there. As such, there are tons of different coffee brands around the world. Here are a few coffee brands starting with G that you should know about!

The brand also won the WCE World Coffee Roasting Champion award, proving its high quality. 

2. Gaviña Coffee

The Gaviña family’s coffee brand was launched back in 1870 in Southern Cuba. This coffee has many quality certifications, including an SFQ 3 (which is the highest level of quality possible to achieve).

They’re also a Kosher, USDA Organic-certified, Rainforest Alliance-certified, and Fair Trade-certified brand. 

3. Gevalia

Gevalia is the largest coffee roaster in Scandinavia but is famous all over the world. This company sells over 20 types of premium coffees, from intense dark roasts to exotic varieties.

Some of their most popular blends are their single-origin coffee varieties from Kenya, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.

Gima Caffee is an Italian coffee brand from Rome that, for over 40 years, carried on the Italian tradition of a good creamy espresso.

With catchy names like Diamante, Perla Nera, Rubino, Ambra, and Zaffiro, their coffee is hard to beat. They source their beans from Colombia, Guatemala, and Brazil. 

5. Ginevra Coffee

Ginevra Coffee has been roasting coffee on the island of Sicily for almost a century.

The coffee line that they offer includes espresso, decaf, and organic roasts available in whole beans or ground coffee. They use 100% Arabica beans with a very pure taste.

Gorilla Coffee is a New York coffee brand that focuses on creating quality brews. Blendimentosis is their signature blend that has a characteristic sweet and well-balanced taste.

They’re constantly tweaking the brew, so it’s different every time you try it.

7. Grassroots Coffee

Grassroots Coffee is a coffee brand that launched in Georgia in 2009. The company roasts its beans in small batches to make sure to get the richest flavor out of its beans. 

Their best-sellers are the Bean Me Up Scotty, which is a Latin American medium roast coffee with nutty and smooth notes; the Georgia Blues Blend, which is a USDA organic blend with chocolate and berry notes from South America and Indonesia; and the espresso blend with caramel and chocolate notes.

Great Divide Coffee is an Australian coffee brand founded in 2003. It’s a fair-trade company that cares about creating fair work conditions, providing equal payment, supporting local sustainability, and operating on fair terms of trade.

Their coffee beans came from Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Papua New Guinea.

9. Great Value

Great Value is the coffee brand launched by the American corporate giant, Walmart. This coffee comes in many different flavors, sizes, and packaging. The coffee is very affordable, but the coffee isn’t very high-quality.

As the name says, this Australian brand is all about creating organic coffee and compostable packaging to reduce the impact on our environment.

The company sells ethically-sourced specialty coffee that’s roasted in Australia. They use earth-friendly packaging and produce their coffee using clean energy sources.

This brand from California sources its green beans from Central and South America. It has been roasting beans locally in the US in small batches for over 20 years. 

They offer a house blend, founders roast, French roast, espresso roasts, and decaf options. For every sale, they donate coffee to Veterans in need. 

12. Green Mountain Coffee Roaster

This New York coffee brand was founded in 2006. Their mission was to sell coffee that not only tastes great, but that also makes a difference.

For each bag of coffee sold, they donate a pair of eyeglasses to a person in need in a developing country.

This is an award-winning coffee brand from the UK that sources fair-trade and sustainable beans. Its mission is to eliminate child labor on coffee farms while also protecting the environment.

Grumpy Mule uses a solar-powered drying facility to decrease the emission of CO2, too.
