Corona “Cero” is another non-alcoholic beer from the ABV-InBev brand competing with the Corona Sunbrew reviewed earlier. The difference between the 2 non-alcoholic beers is the Vitamin D brewed into Sunbrew.

The Corona brand was established in 1925 and introduced to Mexico in the early 80s when the brand was still owned by the giant Mexican brewery Modelo.

Although Corona beer is still brewed by Modelo, it is now owned by one of the largest global breweries AB-InBev. Being a global leader enables AB-InBev to brew Corona beers globally and therefore it is not limited to Mexico.

Corona “Cero” (0%) shares many features with one of the best sellers in the Corona brand, Corona Extra. Except that Corona Cero is non-alcoholic.

The Non-alcoholic beer became available in 2016 in Mexico and was introduced to the global markets in January 2022.

The distribution channel that AB-Inbev has in place helps the growth of Corona Cero beers into supermarkets and other stores.

AB-InBev creates non-alcoholic beer by removing the alcohol from full-strength beer using either vacuum distillation or reverse osmosis.

The hop rumored to be used in Corona Cero is Galena to enhance the bitterness and prevent light penetrating the glass bottle from affecting the flavor.

Carbonation of the Corona Cero produces small, tight bubbles and small a ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Pouring a Cero will produce a straw color with a slight haze.

The aroma is full of light malt and a little honey with no hop aroma while the flavor produces a touch of sweetcorn and bitterness.

Each 330 ml bottle of Corona Cero lager contains
