Before you start wondering about how much Bacardi will get you drunk, let’s take a look at what Bacardi really is and what makes it so popular in the spirit world! Bacardi is the world’s most famous rum brand and has been producing spirits since 1862 in Cuba.

The largest family-owned spirits company in the world, Bacardi is made from the best ingredients sourced from around the world, that are charcoal filtered, aged, and blended to create the signature lighter-bodied effect that rum connoisseurs love!

4 Factors that Affect Bacardi Intake

When we talk about the factors that can affect your alcohol intake, there are plenty of things that come into play here.

From age, gender, and body composition to stomach content, anything and everything can have an impact on how your body reacts to alcohol intake. Here are a few of those important factors that you need to keep in mind!

Stress

Stress can cause some people to drink more than normal because they’re trying to numb their feelings. Stressful situations such as work overload and family problems often lead people to drink more than usual to help them cope with their situation.

Gender

Men and women metabolize alcohol differently, which means that women may have less tolerance than men for certain types of alcohol (such as vodka or whiskey). According to the CDC, women tend to have a higher blood alcohol level and are more prone to immediate effects of alcohol after consumption.

Age

The older you get, the less you tend to drink. As you age, your metabolism changes which affects how quickly your body burns calories and how much alcohol it takes to do so.

Aging also turns the muscle mass into fat tissues, which means that an older person would have a higher blood alcohol concentration as compared to a young adult, even though they consumed the same quantity.

Genetics

Some people have naturally high tolerance levels for alcohol and can drink large amounts without feeling any effects from it at all.

Individuals with a family history of alcoholism and those who struggled with alcohol in the past will have a greater risk of developing alcoholic tendencies and getting drunk faster than other people.

Aside from the classic Rum & Coke, the exquisite flavor profile of Bacardi also comes through in cocktails like the Mojito and Daiquiris.

How long does it take for Bacardi to kick in?

Generally, you can start feeling the effects of alcohol in your bloodstream after 10-15 minutes of consumption, but in the case of rum like Bacardi, it takes well over 20-30 minutes after ingestion to feel the pang of rum starting to kick in.

If you sip Bacardi slowly, relishing the flavors of the spirit, then there is a high chance that you won’t face the same fate as your friend who went all in!

  1. On avarage I drink about 18 glasses of bacardi. That’s when the rush really kicks in. It always makes me sleep real great.

This also works with vodka, but I still prefer Bacardi.
